Bone Marker Values

I read another article, can't find it, that said lower kidney function (which I have) can affect some of these tests and other tests were suggested; calcium, BSAP (bone specific phosphatase), PTH, TRAP (better than CTX for this situation?) and BALP (the latter two are types of phosphatase). I can't read my writing 🙂 but they are all google-able.

Food raises the CTX as does a later time. My pre-treatment value was 324 at 10:30 after breakfast and other values during treatmen w/Tymlos were 165 and 186 and after one Evenity 145, all fasting and at 9am. Should be even earlier but aiming for consistency so as to compare. I wish I had a fasting 9am baseline!! It's all about comparisons.

Very interesting! The fasting ones are all good, but especially the 145 after Evenity. Is that the time you took the whole dose or the second time with only one injection?
