Yes, I’ve been on prescription Omeprazole, from a gastroenterologist, for years. If I miss a dose, I am likely to have an esophageal spasm later that day. Believe me, you don’t want that experience. This started several years before my pain did, along with other malfunctions of my body, like intense itching, and sore mouth and tongue. I’ve developed issues throughout my digestive system now, which I treat accordingly. I have pain, weakness, etc from SFN, so I attribute these issues to polyneuropathy. The nerve damage is pretty much everywhere.
I really watch my diet later in the day, and usually avoid gas-causing foods at dinner. I have tums, Gas-x and more Omeprazole on hand!
