Hi Ray…Gastro issues can be an issue of neuropathy…more specifically autonomic neuropathy. I have large fiber neuropathy…and was tested for autonomic neuropathy and that came back as positive. A quick google search will fill you in further. My neurologist had told me when you have one type of neuropathy, acquiring others is likely as well.
I think acid reflux can give the sensation of shortness of breath…and then once you start obsessing on it…it just magnifies it! Been there…the mind is powerfully good…and at times bad!
A simple test is to do some sort of activity, such as climbing stairs …and see if your breathing seems different than before.
