Hi @doglover71 and everyone. I can speak a little about the expertise at Mayo Clinic.
Mayo Clinic's Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism, & Nutrition is one of the largest in the world, with locations in Arizona, Florida, Minnesota and several communities throughout the Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS).
Within the department of endocrinology there are several specialty groups, including the
- Osteoporosis-Calcium Disorders Specialty Group https://www.mayoclinic.org/departments-centers/osteoporosis-calcium-disorders-specialty-group/overview/ovc-20393283
The Osteoporosis-Calcium Disorders Specialty Group provides comprehensive outpatient and inpatient consultations for bone and calcium disorders. These include:
- Assessment of osteoporosis risk with bone densitometry
- Dietary counseling
- Advice regarding physiotherapy
- Medical consultations for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis
There are several members, including @artscaping, who work with endocrinologists at Mayo Clinic who can share their experiences at Mayo in Rochester, MN.
