NET in illeum, surgery or proper nutrition?!
I have been diagnosed with a small NET (6mm)in illeum of small intestine. I have a nutritionist friend who claims I can kill cancer cells through proper nutrition. I am scheduled for NET removal and resection surgery mid February. Need info and opinion of her advice to not have this surgery, Thank you

My husband had to have an open surgery because his 3mm tumor was deep in his gut where the small and large intestines meet. He had a great surgeon and by having open surgery the surgeon could feel all the intestines and found 8 more small lesions plus he had lymph nodes and 22 lesions on his liver removed and gallbladder too. Recovery was 2 weeks in hospital. He didn’t have the option to have laperscopic
This tumor (NET) was found during a colonoscopy-despite a NEGATIVE colongard only 4 weeks prior . There isnt any history per se.... I never even heard of NET prior to discovery. The. NET was listed in colonoscopy as a polyp, which they biopsied, then diagnosed as a NET. There were other "polyps" found but no addl' info about them. So surgery was suggested for the 6mm one. My questions are general... like what will recovery be like (should be lacroscopic). will I be able to go back to normal BMs? Surgeon said lymph. node woukd be removed, surrounding tissue and possibly a small section of colon.
I had 60% of my colon removed 5 years ago. I am glad you caught it early. It had already spread to my liver.
