Our urologist was horrible! Told him if he didn't take Lupron he would be dead in 6 months! Gave a script for Xtandi, didnt mention any grants for it or the $14,000 that it would cost!
We went to Moffitt (because we live close by). My husband was diagnosed last Feb. with PC with spots on his hip bone and lymph nodes. He was started on Lupron and was accepted into a Taft grant program that pays for the Xtandi. He is now taking a break from everything because his PSA has stayed low. When his PSA begins to rise he will be back on Xtandi. So glad we left the urologist!
