Can chronic itching be caused by Neuropathy

@risebud itching is absolutely a problem with neuropathy.
My scalp itches for days at a time, then nothing. My ankles itch, and various other places.
I can put anti-itch cream on my skin but not the scalp.

Thanks yes I’m surprised the neurologist didn’t think my itching was caused by neuropathy.
And that’s interesting about your ankles as one of mine itches from time to time.

Hi, my ankles itch too! I tried Benadryl does put me to sleep. I will definitely try an anti itch cream! Thanks!!

CVS has a clear anti-itch relief liquid spray that I use on my scalp. I only spray it where I need it, and it does leave my hair slightly wet. But it helps, which is more important than having wet hair.

I have itching in various places from time to time. Amazon has a new Lidocaine Plus Cream which used topically works really well & is longer lasting than plain lidocaine. A generic 25 mg allergy pill will usually stop any all-over itching session for me. I'm on Lyrica/Pregabalin & no, it does not stop the itching.
