How worried should i be by a huge ovarian tumor?
I was diagnosed with a ovarian tumor thats 17.5cm ×25.6cm×26.9 cm. My gynecologist could not treat it and referred me to an oncologist gynecologist. The thing is is I have no insurance. Are there resources out there for people like me. I do not know yet if it's benign or malignant but they said it's as large as a full term baby and has my bladder deflated.

Are you low income? Do you qualify for any kind of medical from the state? I don't know your age or income status which I understand is personal. There should be some kind of help for you. Wow, that's a very large tumor. I will be praying for the best for you. If by chance it turns out to be cancer, I know a lot of the Cancer Hospital will help you without insurance. I know they have people that donate to help others. Blessings 🙌 Please keep me posted. I will continue to pray for you. I hope you don't mind.
Yes I have no income and my husband is disabled on ssi. I'm 57 and just found out through a CT scan of this tumor. I went to the er for sudden vaginal bleeding. At my age is very alarming. I live in GA. I just don't know where to begin for help.
I have family in Georgia and we are trying to move there as soon as we can and get the heck out of California.
Anyway, since your husband is on SSI and you have no income you need to reach out to your states Medical/Medicare and apply for emergency assistance. I don't know how GA. system is but there is help for you out there. Do a search online for no income emergency medical help. I hope and pray that you can get help fast and like I said there are hospitals that will help but we are gonna pray and believe that it is not cancer. I will do some searches on my end too. Blessings

@lulu89 You have some good recommendations here for where to go in Georgia for financial assistance.
If you are interested in finding out if Mayo Clinic can help here is the link to financial assistance at Mayo. You are closer to the Mayo Clinic at Jacksonville, FL so I recommend you try contacting them.

@lulu89, Once you have an oncology appointment scheduled, ask to see a social worker too. Most oncology departments will have social workers on-staff that have a mastery of the many systems that impact patients, including financial services in your area. Don't be afraid to ask for help. We all need help in different ways, they are equipped to help us along that path. Take a deep breath and do whatever you can to take care of yourself.
It sounds like it needs to be removed. I had endometriosis years ago and, without the current imaging programs, I feared ovarian cancer, so I went for it. If laparoscopic surgery is possible, it is minimally invasive. You need more information, despite the cost, due to the effects on your bladder, it sounds like.
I have an appointment scheduled for Feb 12. We shall see what the oncologist gynecologist has to say then. I did speak with a social worker, applied online for medicaid and over the phone gor ssdi. Please keep me in your prayers that I can get approved for some kind of help. Thank you all for your responses.
Thinking of you as you prepare for your appointment tomorrow, @lulu89.
