I used a cold laser recently to help me heal a chunk of skin that got scraped off.
It seemed to help pretty well. The abrasion closed up nicely, without pain.
Can't say about joint pain, though. Sorry.
Hello @opai, how is your son doing with his ankle stiffness and pain? Was a cause for this pain ever found or was it brought on by an injury? Did you pursue the cold laster therapy treatment?
He has had about 4 treatments so far alittle better not from an injury just came up on all of a sudden no diagnosis went to a foot doctor, rheumatologist
I had many sessions of laser therapy highly recommended by my physical therapist for sciatica and lower back pain (I think he’s also eager to pay off the cost of the equipment). Unfortunately they did nothing for me, I still have the same pains as before. This treatment was not covered by Medicare, and I had to pay for it myself.
I had a completely ruptured ACL 15 16 yrs ago. No surgery. I rehabbed it. Few months ago I tore my meniscus medial then put so much pressure on other knee climbing 12 stairs in my home i also think it was a little torn. Anyhoo I was reduced to crutches. Went to my Chiro as my referral to ortho was taking forever. I did About 22 treatments. I went in on crutches left that first day on foot. Been about 3 weeks. Still no further pain. I am also exercising like mad to strengthen supporting muscle. Cold Laser treatment worked for me. I was freaking out lol.
Wanted to add my treatments were twice a week
Thank you so much for sharing we’re going on week 3 twice a week . God Bless glad your better!!
Note: the scrape healed up nicely. No big scar, no pain. Skin is smooth.
Maybe it would have turned out like that anyway, but I doubt it. Other scrapes that I've had leave a mark.
I'm not totally convinced that the laser made the difference, but I'll keep using it until I am, one way or another.
I would post before/after pics, but the 'before" is pretty gross.
(By the way, it's a laser that I bought on Ebay for about sixty bucks.)
The CLL is not necessarily for joint pain, more for healing, and does not work instantly. The shock wave treatment and an excellent physical therapist, that works on joint movement, have reduced my joint/foot pain and neuropathy. I have improved, and therefore in a better place to maintain this new norm.
I hope your son finds relief.
