UTI (urinary tract infection) and prostate cancer

Has any one developed a UTI from the removal of the prostate? I m set to have my prostate removed on 2/15/24. I developed a UTI from one biopsy, so they don’t want todo anymore biopsies. Worried about getting UTI from surgery.

After radiation last year, I had 5 UTIs during 2023. Never saw blood at all, except very slight after biopsy.
The frequent urinating has never subsided. Robo, I hope your procedure went well.

What does your husband's cancer team say about the blood in urine this long after radiation? Does he also have a UTI?
