Anyone else have upper abdominal burn (not inside stomach)?
For about a year, I have had upper abdominal pain that is not inside my stomach. I've had my gallbladder out and have had a Nissan Fundoplication for reflux in the past. It is not helped by any of the meds for stomach acid. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat or how much. An ice pack is somewhat helpful. I'm having an endoscopic ultrasound in 2 wks to see what is going on.

i don't understand it. nobody has said a word to me about dreams. and like i said now it's just over 8 months. i take it for Neuropathy and Essential Tremors. hmmmm. i'm stumped why nobody has said anything 🤷♂️.
I dare say they haven’t reviewed every reported side effect with you and the bizarre dreams is an uncommon one. But here’s a patient quote from drugs.com -
I’m so happy someone else is having the same issues . I started on gabapentin last Friday 100mg before bed… I’m having such vivid nightmares I can’t tell when I’m awake or sleeping. I’ll think I’m awake be looking at my room but it’s spinning and my eye site is blurry…
that is some bizarre things there. and only 100mg. sheesh.
It is very good that they are doing an endoscopic ultrasound. I have heard that you can have your gall bladder removed and still have a duct blocked by a gall stone. you need to have the specific MRI to detect any stones. After years of pain, after removal of gall bladder finally the MRCP located the problem. Finally had the stone removed by ERCP. Please find a special gastroenterologist who will do this procedure !!!!!!
None of my business but while you are having these other test I would get a colonoscopy too. Why? I have all your issues too…and I am finding that the issues on the top of my stomach and gut in general effect me all the way down. So I’m having the colonoscopy and endoscopy in a couple of weeks also. Will you keep us posted?
Thanks for the support. I did have an endoscopy and colonoscopy a few months ago. Results of the upper were negative and just some polyps removed from colon. I hope your issue resolves and your procedures go well.
Yes, that's true you can have a stone after cholecystectomy. I had a specific MRI which only showed a narrowing of the common bile duct. And they talked about possibly having to do the ERCP depending on what they find on the EUS. Thanks for the support and glad your issue was resolved with this.
I wish you well and hope that your condition is addressed and resolved. The MRCP located the problem for me and allowed the gastroenterologist to locate the exact location of the blocked duct. Also, using contrast dye is very important. Why not get all of the information that you can ? I don't understand why doctors do not insist on the contrast dye.
Good Luck
Have you considered nerve pain, since you do not feel it is in your stomach. I get a burning sensation above my stomach area. I was diagnosed with PMR. Had upper GI myself and the doctor found nothing, although I know certain meds can reek havoc on your body.
