I went to a chiropractor in Naperville, IL who practiced "structured rehabilitation". Yeah he'd do the occasional adjustments and back cracking, but then he'd put me in what I can only describe as "backwards traction". I'd lie on my back on a hard table with knees bent up. He would put something under my lumbar spine to support its natural curve, and he's put a low hurdle under my cervical spine (neck) and lightly restrain my head tilting back.
I'd stay in that position for 15 minutes and did it 3x week. It was uncomfortable and I'd have to be assisted up when done, but these sessions were slowly getting my spine back to the correct alignment.
I don't live there anymore and haven't found any chiropractor who does this, but it was amazing.
