@faykatsfour - It has been awhile since you first posted about your scar pain and redness. How are you doing? Has the redness and pain around your scar gone away, or has it got worse since you first posted about it? Redness around a scar can often mean a number of different things. Did you contact your surgeon about the new symptom? If you feel like you are not getting the answers you'd like, seeking a second opinion is something you could pursue.

The redness has calmed down. I saw my GP for these symptoms. I am still in so much pain. I guess my next step is seeking advice from another hip surgeon. I've been searching. I was referred to a pain management clinic by my back surgeon. My hip surgeon says the hip is doing fine. Says my pain is coming from my back. I've had two epidurals to ease the pain. Neither one helped. I am so discouraged as March 1 is the 1st anniversary of my hip surgery. I have got to do something. I have no quality of life at all. Still walking with a cane. Mornings are horrible. If anyone knows of a good hip surgeon, please let me know. I do have a bulging disc and some disc disease. I believe I have nerve damage, but no one is listening or helping.
