I actually had the gastric sleeve surgery to try to cure gastroparesis. I wasn't really that big, and actually had to gain some weight to qualify. Worst decision ever! It did cure my gastroparesis and I had about 8 great years, until my connective tissue disorder caused an even greater failure in my digestive system, and then I had to convert to bypass or face esophogeal cancer. Then I got so thin and malnourished we thought I was going to die. If there is anyone who understands digestive issues, it's anyone who has ever had any type of bariatric surgery. Some of those guys look GOOD too! 🙂 They tend to be more health and diet focused, and since they have eating restrictions they totally get it! With a shorter bowel comes gas, bloating, and some days your stomach will accept food, and some it will not. Since they have loose skin they tend to be shy about dating. There are some hotties on the bariatric support groups. LOL!
