Why is it seemingly that only milk and aged cheeses cause severe pain
Hi, for the past 5 years or so, I have discovered that eating aged cheese, like parmesan, ricotta, and blue cheese, and drinking milk, have started cause INTENSE stomach pain. However, I don't have this issue when eating ice cream, Velveeta cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, or baked goods from stores that have milk in them. I am truly at a loss, and don't know what to do to correct this. It doesn't seem to be lactose intolerance, since I can eat some things.

I don't know if this is related, but I discovered the hard way that some cheeses give me migraines.
I thought it was just my imagination, but then I read this:
"Migraine sufferers should stick to fresh cheeses, like mild cheddar, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, American cheese, Colby and Monterey Jack. Aged cheeses, like Parmesan, Asiago, Mozzarella and sharp cheddar contain tyramine, an amino acid that can trigger headaches."

Again, it may not be related to your situation, but might be worth checking out. Other foods contain tyramine; maybe you're sensitive to those, too.
Good luck! Hopefully, you'll get an answer. I love dairy and can't imagine life without cheese.
I will definitely look into that! I love cheese too, parmesan cheese is absolutely my favorite, and not being able to eat it is so sad.
May still be migraine- there is a migraine condition called abdominal migraine.
OH. I completely forgot about those!!! Does it still cause an aura, or nah?
I’m not sure it comes with aura- one can still be light and sound sensitive.
Try unsweetened almond milk which is non dairy and see if you get pain.
