i am on 1800mg of Gabapentin. and also 120mg of Cymbalta. to be honest combined they don't work 100%. but way better than not taking. makes it much more bearable for walking and sleeping.

I'm so glad that the Gabapentin & Cymbalta are working for you. I switched from just Gabapentin (already on both Effexor & Wellbutrin for depression, though my psychiatrist wants to wean me off one of them) to Lyrica for nerve pain. It works 100% most days, but I have to say that the longer I am on it, the more noticeable the side-effects are: Dizziness, confusion, memory and cognitive impairment. I know it is not just me worrying because my daughter who lives with me said that she correlates these two occurring together. I am "only" 60, LOL, and I just don't think this should happen. I am ready to ask my primary care physician to wean me off of it, as I'd rather have the pain than have mental/memory impairment. Since reading your post, I am going to ask my psychiatric dr. if I can make the switch. So, before you possibly in the future ever consider Lyrica, I just wanted to let you know these side-effects are reported by others I have noticed.
