Hi Frouke,
Yes, Paxlovid definitely has some drawbacks, especially the drug interactions. I take it but I’m not on a lot of other meds like heart or diabetes meds which can be problematic. Also kidney disease is another issue in taking meds, especially Paxlovid due to poor clearance.

Paxlovid has only been approved for acute Covid but they haven’t actually tested it for LC. If enough case studies come forward with benefits for LC, this could change…

I’m also wondering about other antivirals for LC and if anyone has tried them?…

Recover study run by Yale University is running a large controlled study on 15 days of Paxlovid for Long COVID. Results now due out in June 2024.
