Paxlovid is a very helpful antiviral medication and works very well for covid infection.. I used it for 5 days and my symptoms were gone but they did relapse. I have read that Paxlovid interacts with over 100 known medications so that can pose a problem. I have no doubt it’s going to minimize symptoms of Covid but I don’t think it was designed to use longer.

Yes, Paxlovid definitely has some drawbacks, especially the drug interactions. I take it but I’m not on a lot of other meds like heart or diabetes meds which can be problematic. Also kidney disease is another issue in taking meds, especially Paxlovid due to poor clearance.

Paxlovid has only been approved for acute Covid but they haven’t actually tested it for LC. If enough case studies come forward with benefits for LC, this could change…

I’m also wondering about other antivirals for LC and if anyone has tried them?…
