Large Fiber Polyneuropathy
Has anyone been diagnosed with Large Fiber Polyneuropathy? I have no pain but wear foot braces to help with foot drop. It just seem to happen overnight after removal of left adrinal gland. Surgery went fine and then foot drop happened. After extensive testing I received this diagnosis, even though my neurologist believes the nerves on both sides of my knees are involved. I have had three back surgeries during the past 8 years. My orthopedic surgeon believes these surgeries have nothing to do with the neuropathy!

Ed– That's an excellent question. You've got me wondering. To a noticeable degree, the fluctuations of my symptoms (the balance and the walking) seem to be especially environmentally sensitive, not just to those months when I'm less active but also to the time of day. I'm writing this at twilight. I've learned that at twilight I have to apply a little extra caution when I'm going about. As for my asking specifically about large fiber neuropathy, particularly a PN without pain as a symptom, I have a tough time finding good information. However, moderator John did send some good links for which I'm most appreciative. How are things in your part of the world, Ed? (That's more appropriate for a private message, I suppose.) –Ray
Hi, @bobweller. Thanks for our post and the link. I haven't experienced any pain, not yet anyway, no matter the temperature, and although we're having a string of mild days here in Denver at the moment, we've also had our share of arctic-like days. However, I am growing suspicious about certain autonomic symptoms. Again, thanks for your post! –Ray (@ray666)
