New device for minimizing bone loss gets FDA approval

A new device called Osteoboost has received FDA approval. It seems to be geared more towards those with osteopenia with the goal of minimizing bone loss progression to osteoporosis though I wonder if it might be one of the tools those with osteoporosis might benefit from as well (depending upon severity). The results of studies are not terribly impressive but the research did show a slowing of bone loss. It is not currently available for purchase and will only be available by prescription. Just thought I'd share this as something we might have available to us in the future to incorporate into a bone-saving/building program.

the study which appears to be conducted by owners, funders of the product so, taken with a grain of salt.

Yeah, it only seems to slow bone loss but could be part of a diverse program & maybe more useful than a vibration plate. Maybe they will expand use to folks without fractures & higher t-scores. 🤞
