Wow, here goes, 7 months ago I had colostomy surgery I am now wearing a bag until I die I'm 77 it's very difficult to me it's like a full-time job wearing that bag the history is 50 years of ulcerative colitis and two years ago I started with C diff I hold the record for 11 times it doesn't go away especially since you have to be on antibiotics I was on Vancomycin for a year and a half and side effects are never pretty on any of these drugs I never I've never been constipated it's always the opposite and then we come to the choice I continue to lose more and more weight and no end in sight getting better exhausted all the meds or the life saving surgery so there really is no choice because I would have died and now I get to live with this bag I'm glad I'm retired so I don't have to deal with being out in the world taking care of this bag mentally it's very difficult but it will get better I have a great support group on Facebook and you got to keep on what you're doing don't let up with these doctors all I know is the best outcome for me is no moral serrated colitis and no more C diff ever ever again because that one is a tough one remember you're a fighter keep on top of your care and ask questions and see what the long-term prognosis is for you and I say prayers for you and have a blessed day

Wait you exhausted life saving surgery ??? Are you saying that you had a fecal transplantation surgery where they put a healthy donor stool inside of you???

I believe that instead of a year and half of Vanconycin they should have given you FECAL transplant wow big pharma really takes advantage the older ya get huh..? So sad I wish you would still go and take fecal transplant surgery because it changes your life… a very famous surgeon did mine all because of how I advocated and I researched and told them hey why won’t you do it? All I need is 2 failed Vanconycin attempts. Omg if you had 11 c diff episodes you really qualified for it…

I have poor days and suddenly after using my lymphedema pump I’ll get better even within that very poor day like today!! And my belly doesn’t feel any major pain ever since I woke up from fecal transplant on Jan 20th 2024!!

Please know you still have hope and fecal transplant can help and you won’t need colostomy bag right?

Oh shoots!!!! Wait sorry you already had 2 fecal transplants they failed oh wow… well I’m
Gonna think positive and remind myself that I’m half your age so I pray that this gives me an advantage sorry to your loss but I hope you know I’m here for you and I love you xox
