Hey everyone:
Just to share my experience. I have been diagnosed with CKD stage 2, along with osteoporosis and something called MGUS about 2.5 years ago. I had proteinuria which led to more testing, etc. I’m now 65 and was very surprised!

MGUS is a benign blood plasma disorder that can very rarely turn into cancer. These 3 things may or may not be related!

Anyway, I started taking turmeric capsules and drinking a tea with it about 6 months ago, about 4 grams a day.
My lab results show no protein now. It went from 195 mg/dl to 120 mg/dl, which is normal range.
My eGFR went from 64 to 71.
BUN & Creatinine also went down, though was fine and wnl.

Just thought I’d pass this on. I’m going to keep on taking it.

@leslie2121 Your eGFR was essentially normal when you were told you had "stage 2" which at an older age is fine- anything over 60 is normal. So I am wondering why there was protein in your urine? Glad you are feeling better!
