I also had an ascending aortic aneurysm repair 4 years ago, I asked my cardiologist today about risks with the graft, based on some questions I got in this forum, he told me the graft will survive me, there’s nothing that would tell me there’s an expiration on the repair, he did tell me there are some risks the area of the aorta next to the graft could swell or dissect, but those are uncommon and as long as you are monitoring your BP, continuing your periodical checkups and continue being active, the risk is small

Thank you so very much for you comments. I feel better already! I do the BP check everyday and also am as active as possible in this dreaded Winter we are having up here in Wi. Am hopping o hang in there for another 10 years or so as long as Mother Earth lets us continue.
