I had surgical repair of ascending aorta in 2016 at Mayo in Rochester, Minn.
I was in my mid seventies at the time and now in my mid 80's so I look at it as very successful surgery. My recovery was vary smooth and very fast. I will state that I had been in heavy duty exercise classes prior to the surgery and do believe being active physically was a large plus for recouping so quickly.
