This is something I have worried about. My neuropathy is in my feet and lower legs also. I am on medications for it. It began after having a posterior cervical laminectomy and C3 to C5 fusion surgery on 2/11/20. It has gradually worsened since then (burning and some numbness in feet and calves and also swelling in feet and ankles. I am seeking advice on any treatment that will improve my situation and information to further educate on this issue and lead ne in the right direction.

Hello Kevin @kevinversace55, Welcome to Connect. I'm sorry to hear that your neuropathy has gradually worsened since having a posterior cervical laminectomy. @jenniferhunter may have some thoughts or suggestions. Also, she started another discussion on Myofascial Release Therapy that may provide some help. Here is a link to the discussion - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/myofascial-release-therapy-mfr-for-treating-compression-and-pain/.

@kevinversace55 Hello Kevin. What does your doctor say about the swelling in your feet and ankles? Hopefully you have looked at the myofascial release discussion. MFR therapy can help with the surgical scar tissue that may be causing pain. What does your surgeon says about all of this?
