Burning in inner thighs and needle pinch burning in feet
4 months ago my inner thighs started buring when i was standing and walking for few steps, after 2 months my feet started burning and feeling like niddle pinching. I have done diabatis test, vitamins test D and B12 test, thyroid are normal. Even did nurve conduction studay and surel nurve biopsy all are negative except I have decresed disk space L4/L5 and L5/S1 and MRI report attached. Please advise is there any other investigation required and What could be the problum causing.

I know it is very difficult to deal with health issue and side affects of medicine. Even I am strugling with burning and pain as you menionted gabapin has reduced the burning but tingling is still there. I kept consulting various neorologist to know what exactly caused my pain but docters are not able to diagnose the root cause. I think if solve the root cause the burning and tingling can be controled and at this point I just left every thing on Allah.
Just want to add that apart from nurve pain I have itching and hives on the skin which goes away after 10 to 15 minutes but not sure if these two problums are related.
Funny you mention itching and hives. I had that too shortly before the tingling and numbness. I took photos it was so bad. I have been diagnosed with psoriasis years ago and see a dermatologist for that, but this was something different. Once again….severe itching can be a symptom of anxiety or neuropathy, according to my reading. But, it left as suddenly as it appeared.
I still hope to get answers or relief.
Did you get any twitches underneath the skin?
No, I dont get twiches.
I am just wondering how I will manage with this problem. Please advise if you have any suggestions. Should I repeat ANA profile as previous one was completely normal. Also if my nurves are not damaging than why the pain is there.
I know it has to be difficult trying to manage the pain. There are others with similar symptoms who have commented in different discussions. Hello @sufiyan2kom. I combined your discussion with your previous discussion titled "Burning in inner thighs and niddle pinch burning in feet" - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/burning-in-inner-thighs-and-niddle-pinch-burning-in-feet/ so members you connected with in that discussion could see your most recent update as well.
neuropathy is a possibility and more than likely is. I have it and its definitely annoying and painful. but the gabapentin seems to help.. If you have a chiropractor, pediatrist or any clinic that offers laser therapy I have found that it works wonders. They wont perform the treatment if you are in the process of of chemotherapy or any treatments. But once your through then please give it a try.
I wish I knew how to get answers as to why I have had such symptoms. At this point, I’m trying to get as healthy as I can be, eat right, exercise, manage blood sugar and blood pressure, monitor vitamin levels, treat anxiety, etc. I try to read as much as possible and get support from others who are also going through a similar situation.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting a second opinion, but I haven’t sought one from another neurologist yet.
Where do you get laser treatment for neuropathy?
is there any food which makes neoropathy worse
