Has anyone experienced internal vibrations?

I have them mostly when I'm stressed or very tired. My entire left side of my body is weaker than the other side. I've had brain MRI and every other kind of test known to man trying to figure out what is causing it. I turned down the EMG test because I was told it is very painful. I have lupus, and have all sorts of strange "feelings" in my body at times, so I figure it's just related to that. I'm 71, so I don't expect to be 100% healthy, but the internal tremors and weakness are very aggravating.

I did read that exercise can sometimes help, so I joined a gym and am going to try to just get into better physical shape and see if that helps.

I have had now 7 EMG’s over 15 years and I would rate the very transient pain, (I’m talking seconds) as about a 1-2 on the pain scale. You may have four or five needle pricks that last just a few seconds and the rest of the test is relatively painless. If it makes you feel better to know for sure, I would not hesitate to get am EMG. I had a lot of pain in my life and I wouldn’t even count this as pain.

My neurologist diagnosed my internal tremors as essential tremors, a neurological motor disorder, as well as anxiety-depression. In the past 60 days, I have begun to benefit from Cymbalta and twice weekly PT.

On non-therapy days I aim for walking 1-2 miles/day on the gym treadmill, on a nearby nature trail (paved) using hiking poles for balance, or in my house. Exercise is medicine.
