@hlittle5479, I know firsthand that this is scary. I had a Pap smear that came back with abnormal results. I was recalled to do loop electrosurgical excision procedure, also known as LEEP, for further investigation. I was then closely followed for a year. Luckily I can report that the abnormal cells were not cancerous and I have returned to my primary care for regular Pap smears. My risk of getting cervial cancer has not increased, but that is me. Everyone is different.

Have you discussed this with your gynecologist? Do these results mean that your risk for cervical cancer has changed? Do you need further testing or followup at this time?

Thank you for your response. Since I posted this, I have found out that I have stage one cervical cancer but I also have a tumor. It’s either a pituitary tumor or an adrenal gland tumor but it’s causing my testosterone to be 632 and for women, it’s supposed to be 50 and below, so I’m going through quite a lot right now and I don’t know how to handle all of this. My son has already lost his dad. I just got to stay positive and be strong.
