@westwood Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! As you have read, we have many members here who deal with chronic kidney issues, and all the little variances surrounding that.

May I suggest you contact your nephrologist's office and ask to be placed on a cancellation list, and perhaps you can get in before end of March. Hey, it might happen! Also, as has been mentioned, our hydration has a lot to do with the eGFR, not only diet. And if it starts to fall, we may need to give our renal diet a lookover and tweak it even more.

Minimizing stress, moderate exercise, adequate rest, good healthy diet choices all can assist you in maintaining your optimum kidney function. Watch NSAIDS, processed foods. Remember that if you have a cold or infection, that may temporarily affect your eGFR, too.

Hi again Ginger,

I try to do all the things that I should re my CKD3 the only thing I don't do regularly is exercise. My depression doesn't help. I am very happy with my neph. and my blood work in two weeks should help with my questions to him. I could ask him if he thinks I should be seen sooner if he thinks it's needed. Thank you again for always being there for us. Nancy
