Hello I am new to the group. I have had fm for 14 yrs. I have learned ways to cope. I also have several other issues that I deal with depression and anxiety are 2 of the worst. I have 4 kids and I work full time. Lately everything has been getting worse I just got out of a psych-ward from having a nervous break down. I know that they say FM does not get worse but as I am getting all in years of having it I have to say that it does get worse! I a trying to deal with all of the conditions and lately I feel like I am falling apart. I am glad to find a place where I can discuss my issues!!

Hello! I personally did not take Fibromyalgia as an answer for my symptoms mainly because I'm only 15 years old. I am headed to Riley Children's Hospital in June to dig into these things. I would go to Mayo Clinic and see a Rheumatologist if I were you because a lot of times I feel like FMS is what they diagnose something when they really aren't sure. I would get things looked into. A lot of times doctors will notice something but just throw it to the side because it is random, but don't let them do that. That is where a diagnosis can be found. I hope you get feeling better!! -Jocie

Jocie, there is now a brand new blood test for fm that's supposedly 99% accurate. I think I just got one, but I won't have the results for a couple of weeks. They took a lot of blood so I'm sure there are other tests they're running too. Hope you are doing well!
