September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Besides skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in men, and the second leading cause of cancer death in men. 1 in 9 men will receive a prostate cancer diagnosis, and black men are more likely to be diagnosed and die from prostate cancer. It is advised that men be screened for prostate cancer as early as 45 years old.
