Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men, but it doesn't affect all men equally. Due to factors such as to access to health care and genetic predispositions, African American men in the United States are 1.7 times more likely to get prostate cancer and 2.3 times more likely to die from it compared to European American men, according to the American Cancer Society.
