Is this still an active support group meeting?
Are any sessions recorded? I live elsewhere.
It is and as been very helpful to me I live in Florida and we do have a Mayo here but I dont know if they have a sport group so I would have to do zoom
As I understand it, it used to be in person at the main PHX campus until COVID made it go virtual. Since we are basically past COVID it would be nice to have it go back to in person at the main campus. I think they could do both, as nothing should prevent them having an local in person at all of 3 of their US base campuses (Phoenix, Minneapolis, Jacksonville) and a Zoom for people who do not live near a campus or just prefer Zoom.
I don't think it has to be either, and it just comes down to money and what Mayo budgets for the free service and how the attendance for each. If no one shows up or if it's only one or two people they may not want to continue it or make it go Zoom to try to increase the attendance.
There are several Ostomy Support groups in Florida more than we have in Arizona. You can find them with the support group finder on Ostomy[.]org. You didn't say where so if you are not in a major city it could be difficult. I know there are several in Miami, Jacksonville, along the coast near outside of Tampa.
@gnomer, you will be able to post links in a few days. There is a brief period where new members can't post links. We do this to deter spammers and keep the community safe.
@summerlibra @pez01, here's the link to the support group finder from United Ostomy Associations of America https://www.ostomy.org/support-group-finder/
While the Mayo Clinic Phoenix meetings are currently on hold due to staff availability, you are invited to take part in the quarterly Ostomy support meeting hosted by the Mayo Clinic Health System. See details to participate in person or virtually here:

Will it be broadcasted for those of us who may not be able to attend?
As my husband had an ileostomy I have a box of supplies I have been trying to donate. I’ve reached out to a couple of groups but no response. If anyone is interested please let me know or point me in the right direction. I know these supplies are pricey and I would hate to just throw them away.
Where are you located? I have an excellent source in Phoenix, if you are elsewhere I am sure they can provide you with options. I have donated ostomy supplies to them several times in the last 4 years. Here is the problem - I won't have the information until the next monthly newsletter comes. I read it and delete it. When I get it, which should be soon, I will try to locate this posting.
Awesome! I do live in the Phoenix area.
