Colorectal cancer is the second most common cancer among Latino/Hispanic men, and the third most common cancer among Latina/Hispanic women, according to the American Cancer Society.  It is being diagnosed at earlier stages and more advanced stages. Increasing knowledge and awareness about the importance of cancer screening and options for care are critical for improving cancer outcomes. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends regular colorectal screening beginning at age 45. The Colorectal Cancer Blog aims to raise awareness about the importance of catching this leading cause of cancer death early enough to improve survival.
