I was 69 when PMR started. I too worked out. I have lifted weights since high...
This became much easier with prednisone ... During the taper I just kept going. ... I believe this helped me get off steroids ... Prednisone has a half life of 3 hours ... body is going to feel the fatigue of tapering

Hello, I am currently on 3 mg LDN taken at 9pm and 2mg Prednisone in AM....
currently on 3 mg LDN taken at 9pm and 2mg Prednisone ... having some luck with my current fast taper ... of Prednisone (5 to 0 at 1 week each ... I was off Prednisone recently for 10 ... is tendinosis likely from long term Prednisone

Prednisone interacts with blood levels of cortisol so lab values that measure cortisol levels are meaningless...
a cortisol level unless you can be off ... dose with the hope of getting me off ... was needed unless I was completely off ... uveitis after my first attempt to taper ... off Prednisone.

I'm not sure what to think about this study except that I wouldn't have wanted to...
was a delay in being treated with prednisone ... PMR made it extremely difficult to taper ... off Prednisone in a reasonable amount
