They diagnosed me with ACNES. It's a nerve entrapment. It's been a long journey. 6 plus years with pain. Did have trigger point injections in the area of my abdomen where the pain is. It's helped now for a month or so and am managing it with Tramadol and Gabapentin as well. Am going to ask about Pulsed Radio frequency neurotomy where they stun the nerve. It's just finding it with imaging that could be an issue. I was told there are many nerves in that area. It's the right upper quadrant. Am also using hypnotherapy and mindfulness for pain control. There are options out there if you can find a good pain doctor. Pain meds are just not the only answer. We need to be proactive. Best wishes for you. May God shine His light on the road ahead of you. The trigger point injections I've had used 80 mg of Repo Me from which lasted longer than the Kenalog.

It was taken out laprascopically. Am glad the trigger point injections worked for you. They worked for me too but only lasted a few days. It was time to find out what was causing the pain. Fortunately the Lysis of adhesions has made a big difference.

I saw a pain specialist who suggested ACNES. Since then I have had a diagnostic ab lap where adhesions were found in the area where the gallbladder had been. Surgeon took down the adhesions which were very thick. I also received TAP. Blocks. It all helped tremendously with the RUQ ab pain I had been experiencing.

The pain I've been experiencing for the last 5 years has not been solved. We are going to revisit Sphincter of Oddi as a cause. Glad to hear you've found relief. I wish you well.

I've also almost given up on western medicine. Will be trying acupuncture to see if that helps. Have had this pain since I had my gallbladder out 5 years ago. Its an aching deep pain like something is pushing really hard in that area. Have had an abdominal ultrasound, CT, MRIs, colonoscopy, EGD and many lab tests. All normal. It was thought to be scar tissue at one point but no one will do an exploratory surgery for ab pain. I also went through testing for Sphincter of Oddi but that too was inconclusive. It is very depressing as I too used to be active but now I don't go anywhere much for fear of the pain flaring up. I pray for answers not only for myself but for you too.

I too have been treated for ab wall pain. Have had right upper ab pain going on 5 years and have had every test possible. All negative. The pain dr performed trigger point injections to no avail. My next course of action is a MRI of the thoracic spine to see if the pain is being generated from the spine. Can I ask how your pain feels? Stabbing? Aching? Burning? For now I am on Tramadol and gabapentin for pain control; however they come withy their own side effects and after 5 years have become less effective in pain control. I've researched everything I can think of so hearing what someone else has done is helpful.

I've been having right upper abdominal pain for 5 years. Nothing can be found. Have had CT scans, EGD, colonoscopy, labs are normal. Had my gallbladder out in 2014. Every test is normal. Still dealing with pain. Started seeing the pain clinic doctor who said I could have Abdominal Wall pain. Have had a couple trigger point injections but didn't help much. Can I ask what type of pain you are having? Stabbing? Burning? Sharp? Would like to know if it's the same I've been having. Thanks. Am glad the treatment is helping you.
