When they informed me I had Type 2 Diabetes, I decided to go cold turkey on sweets, and soda. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with diet Coke, but I followed the doctor’s instructions. It was sort of hard at first, but now I don’t miss it. I gave up chocolate years ago, after my heart attack. I was really hooked on on that, big time. When I found out about Type 2, I gave up all candy. Licorice had been my crutch for years. Today, when I look at a bag of licorice, or smell a chocolate bar, I still want it, but fight the desire. Good luck on your change. Whether you do it slowly, or all at once, do it. It’s worth it.
