I was over radiated, causing radiation proctitus. I've had 3 sig Flex with APC applications. My sig colon is fine now.(my prostate cancer is gone,PSA is.2) after the 3rd I had a sys scope for urethra blockage. WS told my bladder was clear no cancer, but was loaded with scar tissues in urethra. Within 2weeks of scope, I started urinating blood heavily for 2 weeks, it subsided and I started with a minor leaking. I started wearing depend guards, the leaking has increased. I am now told I have 2 bulbous strictures in urethra that require 2 separate operations 6 months apart.
I will appreciate any comments, suggestions or alternatives for my conditions.

flyd. You could start a new discussion under the prostate support group heading not this one under events. I have had it all and know what you are going thru. Are you in Minnesota? I eventually got the ams 800. There are surgeons who specialize in radiation caused ptoblems.

Sorry to hear about your experience, kind of scary for someone just starting treatments, I just got my 7th of 28 treatments to come, I just hope for the best. Did you get more than 48 treatments like most patients? Get better soon. Raymond.

This morning I did the 12th treatment, I need 28. So far so good, no side effects but thank God for diapers, when the urge comes it comes, when driving it is safer to have one on.

I had 22 in November and December 2022. The proctitus appeared 4-5months after,as every thing I read about said it would appear if I would get it. There was never a mention of it as a side affect by 4 cancer doctors and 3 urologist
