12:00pm to 1:30pm PT

Description

The Pancreatic Cancer Support Group meets monthly, on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. Arizona time (find your time zone).

The GI Oncology Team at Mayo Clinic Arizona offers this monthly Pancreatic Cancer Support Group. We are dedicated to addressing needs related to diagnosis, treatment, the emotional side of cancer and other challenges individuals and their families may face. The goal of the group is to provide education, hope and to meet and support others who are living with Pancreatic Cancer.

A cancer diagnosis may be stressful and scary.  Talking to someone in a similar situation may be helpful.

Is this Mayo talking to patients or patients talking to each other? My wife is a Whipple survivor (one year ago) and could maybe offer advice. We also found the attached chart helped us post-surgery.

I would love to join the support group presentations but cannot receive the link in order to attend. Can anyone help? I have emailed and called but to no avail.
Thank you.

I would like to hear from your wife. I had the Whipple procedure on July 20, 2023 and am making a slow, but decent recovery at this point. The lymph nodes removed showed no cancer cells, and nor did the recent blood tests & C.T. scans. Trying to decide whether to have chemo at this point or wait until cancer returns. Did your wife have chemo; did she have cancer after the Whipple?
Thanks
J:)

My husband had the Whipple July 2023 and is making great progress. All pathology and bloodwork indicate all cancer removed and none in the lymph nodes. Highly recommended to undergo 6more chemo sessions (very tough chemo as you all know). We would also like to hear from dukes wife with any recommendations, support, Thank you D
