After how many operations do you get a bag in front. My right side colon has been removed a year ago.

On an operation that they were going to do on me, a colon resection. The doctor couldn't do it he said my colon was in to much damage and clocked and atrophying. Meaning my colon wasn't working at all. I would only release water no solid matter. He gave me a colonoscopy. I have had it 9 years now and it has been a game changer. What is the diagnosis you got? My ostomy is in front on my left side. I am no longer going to the hospital with blockages and the pain and bloating and diarrhea. Not always happy with my ostomy but not going to the hospital as often as I was is a game changer.

My stoma seems to be working well, except that at one point it started working overtime and spilled over making a mess. No pain though.
Now my problem is impacted faeces, which is like sitting on a hard ball. I tried to shift it with Anusol but couldn't manage it. It's painful. I eat a diet with lots of fruit and roughage, drink plenty of water and fruit juice but the lump remains. Ideas?

@bontine44 When I get this I massage my stomach for relief and it helps, massaging can break it up or move it in one direction or another and that is all we want it for it to move so you don't get blockages. Good luck, I have to remember to chew chew chew my food and drink water before or after my meals.
