i will be having a neck and soft tissue ultrasound in a few weeks. thoughts are mixed on what the outcome will be. i hope some one can relate and let me know their feelings and thoughts. thank you everyone, lilyann
What works for me is not spending one minute thinking about it. I will worry when they find something and then out my energy into fixing the known problem. Can be hard to do but think it’s something you can train yourself to do.
My understanding is that you are in good hands at the Mayo.
After diagnosis and consultation with your doctor I would suggest research in all of the throat cancer treatment options.
Begin with an understanding of your diagnosis and your staging to consider options.
Stick with professional journals where possible.
I started my journey guided to photon radiation; but selected proton therapy as the fight of cancers technically progresses.
Investigate clinical trials.gov to better understand new treatments such as immunology.
Ask for information on a broad overview of treatment options.
Best wishes.
