Wonderful group. Lisa and Sharon are amazing! So nice to be able to “talk” and listen to other ladies in all stages of THE journey. Try it one evening. You can just listen or join in and talk. See if you don’t feel better afterwards just knowing there are others just like you. I have been in the group since Spring. I wish I had found it earlier. Hope to “see” you soon.
I was diagnosed with HR+ HER2- NMBC in 2018. My treatment consisted of a double mastectomy, chemo and radiation. This month (Dec 2022) I have been diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer with spots in my lung and beneath my left shoulder detected in a Pet scan and confirmed with a biopsy. My oncologist has ordered Verzenio and we are awaiting insurance determination. I had been in a trial for Keytruda (Ribociclib) but dropped out in the fall of 2021 after having infections in both eyes (6 months apart) that resulted in scarring and leaving me legally blind. I understand Verzenio has more severe side effects than Keytruda so am a little apprehensive about this drug. Are there other options available, what treatments have other women with recurring Stage 4 BC had? Thank you!
