In this video Q&A with pediatrician and host Dr. Angela Mattke and Dr. Joseph Dearani, Chair of Cardiovascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic Children’s Center and Dr. David Overman, Chief Cardiovascular Surgery at Children’s Minnesota discussed the new collaboration between institutions to share talent and resources across their Rochester and Minneapolis. This will form one of the largest and most diverse cardiovascular surgery collaborations in the United States and will advance care, create knowledge and educate future leaders. They will also be discussing cardiovascular surgery for various different types of congenital heart disease.

I am an adult congenital heart patient. I have a Left Circumflex Anomalous Artery as well as a mobile atrial septal aneurysm, both of which I was born with. I also was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Hypertension as an adult. There have been numerous case studies showing where a patient with idiopathic pulmonary hypertension, who has their left circumflex anomalous artery repaired, no longer has pulmonary hypertension. Are any of you aware of this to be the case? I would love to have my quality of life back! Thank You...
