OK I wish urologists would tell patients that there are many options to treat prostrate cancer...

Im 52 also, had surgery last year. Initially, i was told i was a Gleason 6,...
told surgery was needed due to the cancer ... it penetrating the barrier of the prostate ... dont even consider a Gleason 6 to be cancer

@dwyermw I assume your urologist is ordering more biopsies. With a 3+3=6 what I read is...
biopsies very hard to get every cell of prostate ... The rise of PSA could be BPH or cancer ... radiate the biopsy areas or the whole prostate ... My R/O says I radiate the entire prostate ... very easy to miss an area that has cancer

There are psychological approaches to dealing with an overactive bladder, but there's also a pill (Myrbetriq)...
sometimes fans out a bit from the prostate ... both good (it might catch any stray cancer ... that have made it just outside the prostate

They are not "wrong." Most of the literature I've seen over time discusses .3 or lower...
as linear and sequential, first one prostate ... lightly, go full Monty, SRT to the prostate ... my experience when I did SRT to the prostate ... in mind the difference between our cancers

Thanks very much for your response! I had so many biopsies prior to the 'final' one...
final' one that actually showed cancerous ... #39;d already had a majority of my prostate ... 's just zap the area where the prostate ... Mine was indeed a low grade cancer.
