lasted 1-1/2 years before I was able to taper ... off of prednisone.

How long were you taking prednisone? Some people have resilient adrenals. My adrenals weren't so resilient...

Hi @stevieb, I had symptoms of PMR and GCA about a year and a half before...
positive for GCA, I started with 40 mg prednisone ... and tapered off it after a year and ... Now I'm back on 40 mg prednisone

Glad you are having no side effects thus far and hope you wind up with none....
As far as tapering, do get guidance ... from your doctor - we all want to get off ... Your formula is similar to my first taper ... and stopping reacted in 3 days of no prednisone
