I was diagnosed with PMR. I had severe burning pain in my biceps which were swollen....
Prednisone helped right away…and am ... slowly tapering off.

@ellegeee, my rheumatologist initially prescribed methylprednisolone. He switched me to prednisone as I started to taper....
He switched me to prednisone as I started ... to taper. ... that he had had a few patients who tapered ... easier with methylprednisolone or prednisone ... I have had difficulty with tapering
