Feel the Beat 2015: Ethan Bortnick

You may have already heard of 14-year-old Ethan Bortnick as he’s been captivating national audiences since his television debut on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno back in 2007. Since then, Ethan has continued to make television appearances and headline concerts throughout the country. In addition to his amazing piano skills, he’s also a driven humanitarian who has helped raise over $30 million for non-profits around the world. One of Ethan’s most popular songs, “Anything is Possible,” was written for his best friend and brother, Nathan, who has HLHS.

The Todd and Karen Wanek Family Program for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) is a collaborative network of specialists bonded by the vision of delaying or preventing heart failure for individuals affected by congenital heart defects including HLHS. The specialized team is addressing the various aspects of these defects by using research and clinical strategies ranging from basic science to diagnostic imaging to regenerative therapies.
