Mayo Clinic electrophysiologist Christopher McLeod, M.B., Ch.B., Ph.D., discusses arrhythmia management in adult congenital heart disease patients.

However, in adults with congenital heart disease, these arrhythmias can often result in decompensation, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Treatment for atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter can include medical therapy or catheter ablation.
