Introducing About Connect page

Welcome to the About Connect page. Here you can read all about the Connect community, meet the team of Mayo Clinic moderators and volunteer mentors, review the community guidelines and learn how you can get the most from your Connect experience.

One of the exciting features on this page is the Member Spotlight series, personal interviews which regularly feature one of Connect’s members and help you get to know others who are contributing to the community.

What else might you expect to find in an About Connect page?

I fell I have sufficient experiences to enable me to help others and hopefully to receive consultations regarding my existing conditions. I can explain in more detail given to the correct section if you could provide further direction. My problems briefly relate to having two spine operations and suffering long term pain controlled by Fentanyl. A benign inner ear tumour that eventually shrank but left me with deafness and tinnitus. A recent 6.5 cm Atrial Myxoma tumour has been removed and I am taking blood thinners. I have a Bronchiectasis lung disorder. Hopefully this little list helps someone worse off!

Hi @yessir, Welcome to Connect. You are definitely not alone. I think we can all relate to thugging it out at one time or another with whatever symptoms we have. You have come to the right place to connect with others who are trying to figure out what can help us make it through another day and provide some relief.

I'm not sure what questions you may have but there are many support groups that you might find helpful. You can see the entire Support Group Directory here: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/groups/.

Are you looking to find answers for any specific health condition?
