“When in Rochester, MN” Mobile Application Now Active

Three Rochester organizations have discovered a great way to improve visitor and community member needs, in and around the city of Rochester, using a mobile application (app) called “When in Rochester, MN.”

This mobile app helps with navigation around the community and provides a calendar of local events, city maps, lists of stores & restaurants and much more! Mayo Clinic patients spending time in Rochester can find parking, concierege services and discover what types of transportation they can utilize during their stay.

This collaboration between Experience Rochester, Destination Medical Center (DMC) and Mayo Clinic has resulted in improving the “Rochester” experience for everyone!

Patients spend a portion of their day in appointments, but a larger part of their time is used trying to find places to go, things to do and in discovering a new restaurant to try, so this application will be a wonderful addition to the information already provided by the knowledgeable Mayo Clinic volunteers.

A “surprise me” button is also included on the app, in order to reveal facts about the city or sites that can’t be missed!
